Alicia parked in front of Jamie's house and walked to the entrance; she knew her brother would be aisolated in the computer's room so she fished the extra key he gave her from her bagpack and opened the door. As soon as she stepped in, it was obvious by his loud curses to Tad that he was on a playing videogames. Throwing her bag on the couch she headed to the kitchen and looked into the fridge; it was pretty much empty but there were some pizzas wich smelled like they were from that morning so she grabbed to slices and then joined her brother.
Jamie barely glanced at her when she opened the door, sitting next to him Alicia laughed everytime Jamie cursed their eldest brother when he won, and feeling pitty for Jamie, she gave him indications and finally won for the first time in a whole afternnon. The game ended and Jamie got up and stretch before they both moved back to the kitchen.
"So, I'm here. What's that so importatn thing you wanted to tell me?" She asked him.
Jamie opened the fridge and took two beers, when he took his time to pop them open, Alicia thought he was nervous. Finally, he handed her one bottle and sat in front of her.
"I'm dating someone." His words shocked.
Just when she thought she'd never hear those words from him.
"Really? What's her... or his name?". Jamie's face made her chuckle.
"What the fuck is wrong with you, Al? Of course it's a woman!". Jamie shook his head and continued. "HER name is Jenny."
"I guess because you told me about her that it's serious." Jamie nodded and winced. "So why's that face?"
"Why do you think? She knows nothing about our world." Alicia wrinkled her nose. "For the first time I like a woman... I want to build a serious relationship with her... And half of the things I told her since we met are lies..."
They bothed sighed at the same time. Alicia had no idea what to tell him since she never felt that desire to go serious with someone else, not say someone outside their world. That was the reason why her only serious relationship was with another squire when she was fifteen, and it only lasted two years until he went to Yale and one year after that she went to Harvard. Since then, her relationships were extrictly physical and only lasted a couple of months.
She was useless for her brother this time.
"Sorry, bro. I wish I knew what to say... I'll be honest, if I were you, I'd leave the guy. But don't listen to me. If you really like her, gave it time and you'll know what to do. Those are my words of wisdom."
"You're far from wise, brat." Jamie chuuckled. "But thank you for being honest, I gues..." She clinked her bottle with his.
"I'll be here whenever you need to talk. Try not to need it, please". That made Jamie laugh and Alicia started questionning him about the woman who was winning his heart; Jamie told her that Jenny wanted to meet her and Brynna, and Alicia agreed to go dinner the four of them whenever they wanted to.
"That will be an interesting dinner". They both laughed.
